We believe the local church was never meant to just fill a building on Sunday mornings.
It was meant to change a city.
That's why we call ourselves City Shapers, because we believe God isn't just interested in individual hearts, He's interested in Surprise, Arizona, and every family, neighborhood, and life within it. We show up, we build, we invest, not because it's easy, but because we believe this city is worth shaping.
But Surprise is just the tipping point. City Shapers shape their city. Then their state. And maybe, if we're faithful with what's in front of us, even the world. We start where we are but we don't stop there.
And that means we "refuse to settle".
We refuse to settle for shallow faith. We refuse to settle for a church that only shows up once a week and disappears the rest of the time. We refuse to settle for "good enough" when it comes to loving people, restoring what's broken, and pointing people to Jesus.
So we do the harder, better thing: we help people find and follow Jesus, and then we walk with them, through real relationships, real community, and real life change.
We believe no one is too far gone, too broken, or too lost to come home. We believe in the restoration of all people back to Jesus! No exceptions, no expiration date on grace. Whatever brought you here, whatever you've walked through, whatever you've walked away from there's a way back, and we'll walk it with you.

In Gathering Students, we create spaces for students to truly connect with other students while finding purpose for their lives.
For the first time in your life, you’re on your own. You’re working a job and have a place on your own, but so do all your friends. We are here so that Young Adults can have a place where they’re known and can know others.
